"My time at MSNVA has been incredibly informative. I am currently a healthcare administration student at George Mason University. I have studied many of the issues that plague the healthcare space and before this internship I thought I had a good idea of what the primary issues were. However, during my internship, I learned of so many other issues that are causing problems for medical practices. And things like the medical malpractice cap and the COPN are so important to understanding the overall picture of healthcare in Virginia. Overall, I think that the amount that I learned about the reality of managing a medical practice and the complications therein cannot be understated."

"During my internship with MSNVA, it has given me the perfect opportunity to apply both research and data analysis to a real healthcare project. For example, the first project that I was assigned, the Price Transparency Report 4.0 (PTR4), I was able to examine the difference in procedure costs between ASCs and HOPDs, while presenting complex information clearly. This experience has strengthened a lot of my skills, but particularly my research, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
