MSNVA accepts University students who are looking for an internship opportunity for credit hours. Both Master’s level students and Undergrad students are welcome to apply. Interns who are interested in advocacy and policy will find the most meaningful experience during the summer months when MSNVA focuses on meeting and working with several legislators in drafting legislation. As an Advocacy Outreach Intern, I learned the ins and outs of reaching out to the legislators in order to set up meetings to advocate for the physician community that we represent. Attending different webinars and keeping up with supplemental articles on pertinent topics helped me get a better understanding of the current healthcare field.
