Intern Testimonials

Grace Tamaro - Spring 2024My marketing internship experience at MSNVA gave me a unique opportunity to understand how marketing and outreach fit into the world of healthcare, especially in the bustling Northern Virginia area. In my time as an intern, I was able to work closely with various corporate partners to not only bring the best goods and services to our members, but also get involved in the ins and outs of healthcare organizations. Additionally, I gained experience in using social media as a marketing and business tool, preparing me for an ever increasingly digital world. My experiences helped me to strengthen my leadership and project management skills, gain confidence in myself, and helped to further increase my passion for the healthcare field as a whole. I could not recommend a better internship site for anyone interested in the ‘human’ side of healthcare!
Sabrina Williams - Spring 2023Interning at the Medical Society of Northern Virginia gave me exposure to political advocacy, and the significance of tracking the bills that are in session that affect physicians and patients. I also learned the importance of marketing and how it helps engage MSNVA’s members.
Sabrina Sharifi - Fall 2022My internship experience with MSNVA gave me a comprehensive exposure to political advocacy in a non-profit organization. I learned about the legislative process in Virginia's General Assembly and relevant bills that affect both physicians and patients. Meeting with legislators to discuss issues pertaining to the practice of medicine was eye-opening to the need for changes to improve healthcare in Northern VA.
